The subscription service and the IRIS device are experimental technology focusing on early and continous Dementia sign detection. Because of that, they have no waranty (implied or otherwise) and no kind of assurance of suitability. This is not a medical device and although it is secure and private, you must be capable of setting it up correctly and connecting it to your WiFi.
This Beta service is free of charge for 6 months. You don't have to pay for anything other than an IRIS device worth £39.99. If you are based in the UK or EU, we will give you the first IRIS device free of charge, but please contact us first, otherwise you will be asked to order it. After 6 months of usage, the subscription fee is £19.99 per month.
The final service and product is going to be different: we will not save any data, images, videos or personal data. This Beta service saves images from the IRIS device, in order to help us tailor the service and become as accurate as possible in detecting Dementia signs, so that we can provide the best possible service to you.
You cannot currently opt out of this, it is a requirement and the images are randomly picked and saved privately using strong encryption. Once the service and product reaches commercialisation, we will change the terms and conditions to allow an opt-in/opt-out policy with respect to image saving.
